It is a matter of pride for DAV College, Bathinda, as rover Rajat Garg, son of Ravinder Kumar, a student of the college, has received the President’s Award, bestowed on scouts, guides, rovers, rangers and scouts masters.
The President of India, Dr Pranab Mukherjee, presented the award to Rajat at the President House.
Scout Rajat Garg was nominated by the head office, New Delhi, on the successful completion of his three-year syllabus and on passing the physical test.
College principal Dr Sanjeev Sharma, vice principal Prof Varesh Gupta, staff secretary Prof Shishpal Jindal, superintendent (general) Baldev Krishan Sharma, superintendent (accounts) Surinder Singh and the staff accorded a warm welcome to Rajat and congratulated him and his family on his achievement.
Dr Sanjeev Sharma wished Rajat success in all his endeavours and said the college would always promote and offer all possible help to its young brigade.
