Kareena Kapoor is an Indian actress, born on 21 September 1980 in Bombay, Maharashtra. She is a member of the famous Kapoor family and is the second daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is the great-granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor, the granddaughter of Raj Kapoor. She is the niece of Shashi Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, sister of Karisma Kapoor and cousin of Ranbir Kapoor.

After the separation of her parents, she got raised by her mother along with her sister Karisma. She studied at Jamnabai Narsee school in Mumbai. Her high school was Welham Girls School in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She then did business studies at Mithibai College in Vile Parle in Mumbai. She abandoned after a year to pursue a career in film.

She had a high-profile relationship with Shahid Kapoor from 2004 to 2007. Kareena Kapoor then married Saif Ali Khan on October 16, 2012. For her wedding, Kareena wore the same wedding dress worn in 1969 by Sharmila Tagore. She, in turn, had received it from, Begum Sajida Sultan of Bhopal. She was the first woman to finish in 7th spot. In 2014, she starred opposite Ajay Devgan and Anupam Kher in the action film Singham Returns. The film received good reviews and collected 1,568,700,000 rupees globally.

The following year she made a special appearance in Gabbar Is Back. Then she finds her sidekick Salman Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Here she plays the role of a young Brahmin woman. The film break records at the box office. But the media and fans got disappointed indeed as Kareena's role was minimal. The actress closed the year with an item number in Brothers.

In 2016 the actress seems to have heard the call of her fans and she stars in the romantic comedy Ki and Ka. Here she played opposite Arjun Kapoor. The film was a commercial success.
