After Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra support Tanushree Dutta
Tanushree Dutta has been talk of the town in the corridor of Bollywood since when she accused Nana Patekar of misbehaving with her on the sets of the film Horn Ok Please! (2009). In her allegations, the actress claimed that on denial to shoot for the song due to Nana, her family and she were harassed by the gang and they were threatened for their survival.
In a press conference held yesterday for the star-studded launch of Diwali Dhamaka Thugs of Hindustan, Amitabh Bachchan refused to speak about the controversy, while Amir Khan also not supported nor opposed the actress in his statement and Akshay Kumar who is at present busy in shooting with Nana Patekar for Housefull 4 keeps mum on the same. But his better half Twinkle Khanna supports Tanushree Dutta.
Farhan Akhtar also gave an honest opinion on what he felt about the entire state of affairs, re tweeting a journalist's thread, who was present on the sets of Horn Ok Please! When this was happened in support of Tanushree, wrote on his official twitter handle, "This thread is very telling. @janiceseq85 was there at the time of the incident being debated today. Even when #TanushreeDutta had career concerns to keep quiet 10 years ago she did not & her story hasn’t changed now. Her courage should be admired, not her intention questioned."
Responding to this, Priyanka Chopra also came in support and urged to everyone that they must believe in survivors. “Desi girl “Priyanka tweeted, "Agreed..the world needs to #BelieveSurviviors."
This also influenced his sister Parineeti Chopra to speak about the matter more openly and give her opinion. She tweeted, “I agree too. Survivors are survivors because they have dealt with something and come out on the other side. So believe them, respect them. @janiceseq85 #TanushreeDutta.
Worth mention here Nana broke his silence to Tanushree's claims saying that they were rubbish accusations and that he may take legal action against the actress as well.
