Punjabi singer, famous for anti-drugs song, held with heroin
MANSA: While campaigning against drug abused in Punjab, this Punjabi singer got hooked to drugs. Identified as Harman Sidhu , a singer from Mansa district of Punjab was arrested with his four friends, including a patwari from a toll plaza in Sirsa city.A total of 52.10 grams of pure heroin has been recovered from them. The seized drug was valued at Rs 5.20 lakh, said Inspector Dhale Ram, the in-charge of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and anti-drug staff of Sirsa police.Besides Sidhu and Ramnik Singh patwari of Mansa, rest accused arrested by police included Surjit Singh, Manoj Kumar and Anurag of Sirsa district , As Reported By TOI.
According to the Newspaper,All of them have been booked in a case of NDPS Act registered at Sirsas Sadar police station.According to cops, Sidhu and other accused are not only hooked to drugs but are also suppliers to local lads. "We are interrogating them to ascertain their source of procurement as well as the persons whom they used to supply. We are also interrogating to ascertain as since when they are into this profession," said CIA Inspector.According to cops, all the accused were nabbed when their car reached the Bhavdeep toll plaza on Ding road of Sirsa.
