CM lays stone for renovating Tapkeshwar temple

Chief Minister Harish Rawat has said the state government is committed to addressing grievances of physically challenged and senior citizens. Funds would not become a barrier for introducing beneficiary schemes for them, he said.Rawat was speaking at the stone-laying ceremony for renovation of Tapkeshwar temple, to be done at a cost of Rs 155.71 lakh. He also sanctioned Rs 79 lakh for renovating banks of the Tons river that lie on temple premises.
The Chief Minister said the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) had been made the nodal agency for doing the renovation work at the temple. It had been instructed to draft a mini plan for Tapkeshwar and adjoining areas.
MLA Rajkumar, MDDA vice-president Meenakshi Sundaram, Krishnagiri and Bharatgiri were present on the occasion.
